Ariel - Biology

Science Ambassador

Ariel fun

Year: 3

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: Research and Scientific Education

Favourite food: Phad Thai

How I get involved: I have been a part of several Biology related clubs including BUGS (biology undergraduate society) and WatSAM (waterloo students and microbiology). I have been involved in two Faculty of Science Orientation Weeks and this is my second year as a Science Ambassador. Getting involved within science is how I celebrate my community, my passions, and meet new friends with similar interests!

Why I love my program

I love my program because it allows me to explore life and connection. Through biology I learn how to expand on and apply my passion for human improvement, research, kindness to the Earth and others, and sharing the joy of biological knowledge with others!

Why University of Waterloo?

The University of Waterloo has allowed me to prosper as a blooming scientist through its array of opportunities for experiential learning (in my case coop), hands on lab experience, excellent and engaging content and lecturers, and amazing community.
