Career goal: I'm not too sure at the moment! I've always had a strong interest in environmental and wildlife preservation and protection. I also really enjoy working with people. I'm learning that university is a great time to explore your passions, interests, and career aspirations.
How I get involved: Apart from being a Science Ambassador, I have been a Green Residence Ambassador and Mentor. I have also worked part-time in a few labs.
Why I love my program
I love my program because of its flexibility. Whether it be looking at community interactions in ecosystems or examining biochemical physiological processes, the biology program allows me to explore all my interests within the life sciences.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose the University of Waterloo because of the co-op component. I love how I get to explore everything I learn in class in a work setting and see how applicable course content is. Aside from co-op, the people I met at the Faculty of Science open-houses were so welcoming and friendly and I knew I wanted to surround myself with other students who were passionate and eager to learn!
