Why I love my program

The reason I chose to study biochemistry was because I love knowing how things work and why the world around me exists as it does. I love being able to understand and study diseases at a molecular level! Biochemistry fulfils my scientific curiosity as it gives me a vast scientific background that I can use to confidently solve problems not only on exams, but also in research labs during my co-op jobs. The laboratory courses that I have taken as a part of the biochemistry program have given me a great advantage during co-op interviews as I am exposed to many different laboratory techniques and scientific instruments.

Why University of Waterloo?

I chose the University of Waterloo for the amazing, one of a kind co-op program offered. In grade 12, I had no idea what I wanted to do after I graduated university and co-op seemed like the perfect way to find out. The University of Waterloo is very focused on providing amazing opportunities and resources for their students so that they can find their calling and succeed. I am very thankful that I chose to study at the University of Waterloo as I now know exactly what I want to do for graduate school.
