Year: 2

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: Right now, I am leaning towards becoming a pharmacist in the hospital setting. However, I am looking forward to exploring different settings through co-op!

How I get involved: In my past 3 years on campus, I have enjoyed attending shoetag fitness classes, participating in dodgeball, volleyball and soccer intramurals along with the Pharmacy Run Club. I have also been a TA for BIOL 130L and an orientation week leader. I am excited to be a science ambassador this coming year.

Why I love my program

I have always wanted to do something in the healthcare field and I love that pharmacy allows me to directly interact with patients and really improve patient outcomes. The pharmacy profession has many different opportunities and the pharmacist role in healthcare is continuing to grow. The pharmacy program at Waterloo is unique in that it is a co-op program, which allows us to really explore the different opportunities in the pharmacy profession and gain real life experience. The professors here are very knowledgeable and approachable, making learning a fun experience.

Why University of Waterloo?

Waterloo offers a Conditional Admission to Pharmacy status, which I was very interested in as a high school student. I also felt very at home during the campus tours and loved the welcoming environment.
