How I get involved: I work at the pool as a lifeguard and pool manager after swimming varsity my first two years. I also volunteer with the science mentorship team as an exec and mentor, as well as being a science and business bus mentor for first years. I've worked as an usher at convocation the past two years. I volunteered with SSO as a global engagement leader.
Why I love my program
I'm super interested in science, always have been but don't really have the true passion to spend my days in a lab looking at agar plates. I want to learn about it, be involved in it but not actually be carrying out the dirty work. I've also always had a knack for business situations and want to have enough of an education in it for business people to at least take a look at me. My program gives me the perfect mix of that and still gives me some room to choose the mix of science/business courses to whatever I feel is best for me.
Why University of Waterloo?
Co-op brought me here. I like that students here are serious about their education.
