How I get involved: I am an executive member of the Pre-Optometry Club, Let's Talk Science Volunteer, and work with university athletics. In the past, I have volunteered for open house and participate in intramural teams, whether it be slo-pitch one term or dodge-ball the next.

Why I love my program

I love my program because it has so much to offer, and it is very structured. This program has prepared me for applying to professional schools in the future, with little stress about whether I have taken the required prerequisites. As well, it has allowed me to meet many other people in a variety of different programs.

Why University of Waterloo?

I originally chose Waterloo because of the optometry school, something I am hoping to be accepted to in the near future. However, when I received a hand written letter from another science student in my acceptance package, I knew this was the school that was going to be personal and for me. As well, I had fallen in love with campus the moment I stepped onto it, between the mixture of older and newer buildings and the beautiful landscape.
