Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: Ultimately, I would like to be in a research position where I can work closely with experimentalists as a theorist in the field of quantum optics. Although, it being an ultimate goal, it may get revamped just like Marvel comics.

Favourite food: Raspberry Lemonade

How I get involved: Phys Club, Let’s Talk Science, Muay Thai, Parkour, Ballroom Dancing, Physics Outreach Labs

Why I love my program

I have always loved science fiction and modern physics is basically sci-fi with math so it’s even better. The things we learn in Mathematical Physics make no physical sense but the math tells us they should be true and somehow, the real world follows the math. Basically, I love my program because it’s unbelievable (and we get to do fun math as a bonus)!

Why University of Waterloo?

Waterloo’s Institute for Quantum Computing is known around the world, so as someone who wants to study quantum, it’s hard to beat. I really like how our math and physics professors also do incredible research and bring all of that knowledge to the lecture halls.
