Kaitlynn - Psychology

Science Ambassador

Kaitlynn holding a model of a brainYear: 3

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: I’m extremely interested in the brain, and all its intricacies, specifically neurodegenerative disorders and neuropharmacology, so I hope to pursue a career where I can further the current research in the field. I am also considering medicine as even when I didn’t know what I was interested in, I knew it was somewhere in the helping field.

Favourite food: Lobster, and all things carb.

How I get involved: I am a member of our Varsity Track and Field Team and love racing to represent our school. As well, I participate in Team Up (a community outreach program within the KW area), Science Open House and being a Science Ambassador!

Why I love my program

I have always loved learning about the biological bases of why we behave the way we do so participating in a field that not only examines this, but allows for further discoveries seemed like the right fit for me. I also LOVE science and am considering pursing a career in research or medicine, and this degree allows me to explore both physical and social science research and course material throughout my degree over my coop terms and class selections.

Why University of Waterloo?
