Year: 4
Stream of study: Co-op
Specialization: Biophysics
Career goal: Medical Research Scientist
Favourite food: chicken fried rice <3
How I get involved: In addition to being a Science Ambassador for the past three years, I have also done intramural volleyball and dodgeball, been a Front-Line Leader for Science Orientation, volunteered on-campus at the Science Coffee 'n Donut Shop, and played trumpet in the university's orchestra!
Why I love my program
I love my program because it's unique and far-reaching across science. I get to learn all sorts of amazing stuff about both biology and physics, with some chemistry and math in there too. I'm also really interested in medical technology and therapeutic research, so I appreciate how closely Life Physics relates to these fields.
Why University of Waterloo?
I chose Waterloo for its strong academic reputation as well as its co-op program, which I knew would help me narrow down what career path I wanted to pursue by letting me figure out what parts of science I liked (or didn't like!).
