Taylor - Biology

Science Ambassador

Taylor goofyYear: 4

Stream of study: Co-op

Career goal: Research involving water treatment and microbial ecology!

Favourite food: Burritos!

How I get involved: Outside of Science Ambassadors, I've been involved on campus as a BIOL 130L Teaching Assistant, a Residence Ambassador, a volunteer at the Women's Centre, a Science Orientation Leader, and as Vice-President of the Waterloo Students and Microbiology (WatSAM) club!

Why I love my program

I love my program because there are so many different courses offered - I’ve really been able to explore my interests within Biology. One reason I chose my program was because I was able to take a bunch of biology courses right away in first year, which allowed me to discover what I was really passionate about. After first year there are so many course options so you can really focus on what you love or get an overview of a bunch of different areas in the field of biology!

Why University of Waterloo?

Everyone I met in the Science faculty at the University of Waterloo - from students to professors - was so enthusiastic about the programs and they really made it feel like it was the place for me! I felt welcomed into the school even before I came here and I still get that sense of community now.
