This Committee considers and makes recommendations to Senate on the conferring of honorary degrees, Distinguished Professor Emeritus and Honorary Member of the University.
An honorary degree is the highest honour conferred by the University. This award seeks to recognize outstanding achievement, whether academic or through service to society.
The President and Vice-Chancellor is the Chair of the Honorary Degrees Committee.
