Applications and Proposals - Research

Persons designated under this resolution are expected not to exercise their signing authority in circumstances where conflicts of interest exist or could be seen to exist; in addition, they are expected to inform their immediate supervisor when such circumstances exist. (Refer to Policy 69 - Conflict of Interest.)

A. ALL APPLICATIONS AND PROPOSALS:

University personnel identified above may delegate their signing authority to other University employees. Signing authority for Applications and Proposals related to research grants, contracts, agreements and licences, has been delegated as follows:

I. INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS AND PROPOSALS:

With respect to a single application or proposal of up to $200,000:

The Director, Contracts Research & Industrial Grants

A Senior Manager, Contracts Research & Industrial Grants

II. NON-INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS AND PROPOSALS (Non Tri-Council):

With respect to a single application or proposal of up to $200,000:

One of:

The Director, International Programs

The Associate Director, Institutional Programs

A Manager, Grants and Government Research Contracts

III. NON-INDUSTRIAL APPLICATIONS AND PROPOSALS (Tri-Council):

With respect to a single application or proposal of up to $200,000 per year:

A Manager, Grants and Government Research Contracts
