Research Associate
James received his PhD in Political Science from Carleton University in 2014, and was hired as the Postdoctoral Research Fellow on this project in June 2016. His thesis was on the politics of future for sustainable energy, and he has conducted research into the social and political potential of carbon capture and storage in Canada as well.
The focus that James brings to this project is on the socio-political acceptance of energy storage in Canada. He will be conducting academic reviews of the literature on social acceptance for energy storage, as well as case study research into stakeholder acceptance of energy storage in Ontario. He will also be involved in the construction of a Canadian 'energy storage activities' database.
