Dane Labonte is a PhD candidate in the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability at the University of Waterloo. His research examines the social and institutional factors that impact socio-technical system transitions, with a focus on the diffusion of smart-grid technologies in the electricity sector.

Danielle completed her undergraduate degree at Laurentian University in Sudbury, Ontario with a specialization in Environmental Studies and Geography with a minor in communications. During the course of this, Danielle completed a fourth-year thesis which looked into the energy consumption of buildings with a certification under the LEED Rating Systems.

Ines is a PhD student with the School of Environment, Resources and Sustainability. Ines’s research investigates the extent and ways in which residential energy use patterns are affected by the complex relationships between household members, including gender relationships, as household members interact with energy-using technologies.
