Finding new ways to support students virtually

The Department of Sociology and Legal Studies was featured in the December 3, 2020 Daily Bulletin article "Academic advising online: new ways to support Waterloo students". 

With the University moving to online processes due to COVID-19, advisors got creative with how to better support students virtually and learn what strategies work best.

Nature Photography Challenge and Scavenger Hunts for Thrive Week

The Department of Sociology and Legal Studies is hosting two Thrive Week events from November 2 to 6, 2020: the Nature Photography Challenge and the Fall and Wellness Scavenger Hunts. Thrive is a series of events focused on building positive mental health for University of Waterloo students, faculty and staff. We encourage the campus community to participate in Thrive events and focus on their wellbeing.
