Our Waterloo Warriors announced a new group focused on change and eliminating racism on our campus and in our world on November 20. Their first session will take place on November 25.
The Alliance is a progressive group of University of Waterloo staff and students working together to use their voices and platforms to create change within the Waterloo network.
Mission: To establish positive systemic changes for the University of Waterloo BIPOC community through recognition of, education towards, and action against racism.
Vision: Actively striving to lead by example, providing direction and inspiration to all community members to create change in a relentless pursuit of equity for all.
The Alliance is guided by four non-negotiable principles: Respect, Integrity, Community & Growth.
The Alliance believes actions speak louder than words. The group is focused on change and eliminating racism on our campus and in our world. They will listen, learn, and educate through a series of conversations starting with the Expression Session on November 25.
