As is the case every fall, the UWSA Board of Directors is looking for new members. The Board is seeking to fill six (6) vacancies. This large number of vacancies is precipitated by the 2021 introduction of our By-law which separated the Board’s nine (9) Directors from our Operations Team (President, President-elect, Past President and employees). As you may recall, the UWSA Board of Directors filled the vacancies via an appointment process on a temporary basis which now need to be filled in a general election. To ensure varied perspectives in strategic outlook for the Association, the Board of Directors is seeking individuals who represent marginalized and diverse living experiences. More information for candidates is included below and on the UWSA website.

We need your voice! Staff play a vital role in the Waterloo community, and you can help to define and shape that role by serving the UWSA. With your enthusiasm and commitment, the UWSA will continue to advocate on behalf of staff, address issues and concerns, support equity, and improve our workplace for all.
