Wendy Diel wins Apple gift card

UWSA hosted a Staff Conference Drop-In Session as part of this year’s Waterloo Staff Conference. Directors and staff were available to answer questions on a wide range of topics including the updated Policy 14 Pregnancy and Parental Leaves (including Adoption) and the Return to Work, which was approved by the Board of Governors on April 6; how to get more involved with the UWSA, and what discount offers are available to members. Thank you to everyone who took the time to attend.

Congratulations to the first 20 attendees of the Drop-In Session, each of whom won a $5 gift certificate to Four All Ice Cream in Waterloo.

Finally, thank you to Yvonne McDougall-Brady, the UWSA Johnson Insurance rep, for once again generously sponsoring a grand prize for Staff Conference draw. This year, the prize was an Apple gift card for $500. UWSA members who attended the Drop-In Session were eligible to fill out a ballot for a chance to win. All entries were placed in the app, Wheel of Names, and after spinning the wheel, the lucky winner is Wendy Diel. When contacted about her prize, Wendy let us know that this was an early birthday gift, as she celebrated her birthday the very next day! Congratulations and Happy Birthday!
