The Staff Mindfulness Meditation program is funded through the University of Waterloo Staff Excellence Fund and organized by several staff members at the Centre for Career Action. Sessions are free to staff and no prior experience is required. A series of eight sessions will be led by a facilitator.
Research demonstrates the multiple benefits of mindfulness including stress reduction, decreased anxiety and depression, increased satisfaction and self-compassion, improved concentration and output, a happier workplace, and improved physical and emotional well-being.
Time and location: Sessions will be held on Wednesdays on campus in room HH259 from 12:05pm to 12:30pm. (With the exception of April 22nd, when it will be in ML349)
