1. All professional activity of the Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit will be guided by the Statistical Society of Canada's Code of Ethical Practice.
  2. For University of Waterloo faculty, graduate and senior undergraduate students, the Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit will:
    • provide free statistical advice to improve the quality of research.
    • increase the understanding of and promote the importance of statistical planning and analysis in empirical research.
  3. The Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit will work to improve the consulting ability of graduate students in the Department of Statistics and Actuarial Science.
  4. For University of Waterloo administrative units and external clients, the Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit will provide statistical advice and analysis on a fee for service basis.
  5. The Statistical Consulting and Collaborative Research Unit will strive to improve the quality of its services by pursuing research opportunities generated from unresolved issues brought forward by clients.
