DESCRIPTION:Though the workshop will not go into mathematical details and p
 roofs\,\nit will provide some reasoning and intuition behind the key formu
 las\nused in survey sampling. It will also look at various examples using\
 nthe statistical software SAS (free to students\, faculty and staff at\nth
 e University of Waterloo). In addition to illustrating basic data\nanalysi
 s techniques\, those examples aim to provide guidance on some of\nthe pitf
 alls of analyzing survey data. Part 3 is a practical hands-on\nopportunity
  for participants to conduct basic data analysis using SAS\non their own l
 aptop.\n\nThis two-day workshop will be held in DC 1568. Registration is f
 ree\nfor all members of the university.
