 Florence Nightingale Day on Saturday\, February 28\, 2026.\n\nOpen to hig
 h school students in grades 10–12 across the Waterloo\nRegion\, the even
 t will feature hands-on activities\, games\, and panels\nof professional s
 peakers\, followed by networking and lunch.\nRegistration is limited to th
 e first 30 participants on a first-come\,\nfirst-served basis.\n\nFlorence
  Nightingale Day promotes gender diversity in statistics and\ndata science
  by encouraging and inspiring people of underrepresented\ngenders to explo
 re these fields. Named after Florence Nightingale\, a\npioneer of modern n
 ursing and early innovator in data visualization\,\nthe event celebrates h
 er legacy and the contributions of women in\nstatistics\, while showcasing
  career opportunities and mentorship in\ndata science.
