DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to announce an exciting multi-day Health Data Sc
 ience\nvirtual workshop\, co-sponsored by the Canadian Statistical Science
 s\nInstitute (CANSSI) [http://www.canssi.ca/] and the National Institute\n
 of Statistical Sciences (NISS\, based in the U.S.)\n[https://www.niss.org/
 ].  The workshop activities will be held\non Friday\, May 7 and Satur
 day\, May 8 (2021)\, with pre-workshop\nshort courses held on May 6.  W
 e have many great presenters lined\nup\, which you can see\, along with th
 e agenda\, on the workshop website\n[http://www.niss.org/events/first-can
 ssi-niss-health-data-science-workshop]. \n Registration is now open\, an
 d you can find the registration\ninformation near the top-right corner of 
 the website.\n\nThe full program\, including speaker titles and abstracts\

 ents: \n\n* First\, there is a poster competition\, which could be a nice
  way to\npromote your interesting research\, not to mention potentially wi
 n one\nof the awards!  This competition is actually open to anyone who i
 s\ncurrently a student or recent graduate with a degree awarded\nafter Ja
 nuary 1\, 2019.  \n * Second\, the short courses are free for any studen
 ts from CANSSI\nInstitutional Members\, including the University of Waterl
 oo.  There\nwill also be a networking happy hour for all participants af
 ter the\ntalks end for the day on Friday\, May 7.\n\nAny questions about
