Brenda is Ojibway of Nipissing First Nation, from North Bay, Ontario. A graduate from McGill University MEd, Montreal, teaching has been her passion from Early Childhood Education through Elementary and College levels. She is a member of Etonia United Church near Paris where she chairs Ministry and Personnel and vice chairs UCW. Brenda is a retired principal of the Francis Sandy Theological Centre, training ministers for Aboriginal communities in southern Ontario and Quebec. FSTC is now amalgamated with Sandy Saulteaux Spiritual Centre in Beausejour, Manitoba.

She is Chair of the Board of Governors at St Paul’s Waterloo, active on the Board of Nations Uniting in Six Nations and is a member of the Anglican-United Church Dialogue. As Program Director at Paris Horticultural Society, she feeds her passion for the garden. Brenda considers Yoga an essential part of her life.
