Join us for an inspiring afternoon as members of our social impact incubator showcase their ideas and how they are making a difference. We’ll be announcing grants for some early-stage, high-potential ideas, and the Social Impact Fund winners will present their projects. This term, GreenHouse students have been working on issues such as land mine diffusion, sex trafficking, climate change, mental health, support services for new Canadians, and rape culture.

Join us for the 12th Annual Traditional Pow Wow, hosted by the Waterloo Aboriginal Education Centre at St. Paul's University College.

There will be traditional drum groups, dancers, and craft and food vendors.

Everyone is welcome, whether Aboriginal or not!

The Pow Wow will take place rain or shine.

The Niagara Peninsula Aboriginal Area Management Board (NPAAMB) is an Aboriginal Employment and Training Agency that provides training and program supports, plus services and referrals to the urban Aboriginal youth population between the ages of 15 to 30.

The NPAAMB will visit the Aboriginal Centre to provide information on the services they offer and to answer any questions. The NPAAMB representative will be here September 29 from 10 am - 12 pm, October 8 from 12 pm - 2 pm, and November 24 from 10 am - 12 pm.

Each year, students at St. Paul's and UWaterloo sponsor several refugee students through the World University Services of Canada (WUSC) Student Refugee Program. The sponsorship allows the refugee students to attend university and to eventually become Canadian citizens.

Gloire Gatabazi, a WUSC-sponsored St. Paul's student, will be speaking about his experiences in a refugee camp and his journey to Canada and the University.
