A first aid kit for mental health and custom-fit compression sleeves for breast cancer survivors are just two of the startup ideas teams will pitch at the inaugural Big Ideas Challenge for Health and Wellbeing on Monday at 4 pm in Alumni Hall at St. Paul’s.
The Waterloo Aboriginal Education Centre will be hosting its newest initiative, an Aboriginal Entrepreneurship workshop, from March 27-28. Up to 20 Aboriginal high school students in grade 11 and 12 will embark on a learning adventure to explore the fundamental aspects of entrepreneurship and experience university life. Students will learn new ways of thinking as they collaborate in teams and receive guidance from university and business instructors.
St. Paul’s University College will recognize 10 Distinguished Alumni and two Young Alumni Award winners this Friday, March 27, at the Donalda Club in Toronto. The awards recognize alumni who have achieved notable professional success and have made significant contributions to their community or shown leadership in a field relating to St. Paul’s mission and values.
Recipients are all University of Waterloo alumni who lived in residence at St. Paul’s for at least two terms, or studied an academic program offered at St. Paul’s.
St. Paul's University College is pleased to announce that policy analyst and Aboriginal consultant Michael Fox will be the Visiting Professor of Aboriginal Business Development for Fall 2015, and will teach a new First Peoples and Business Development course. Previously, Michael has taught at Confederation College, as well as at Lakehead and Queen’s universities.
