GreenHouse startup wins $25,000 Velocity prize

Marlena Books team accepting cheque

Marlena Books, a St. Paul's GreenHouse startup, won one of four big $25,000 Velocity Fund prizes up for grabs at the most recent competition. 

Marlena Books is a venture that was created by Rachel Thompson to help people with dementia and Alzheimer's keep mentally active through reading materials made specifically for them.

International Development Class of 2016 receive graduation rings

The fifth graduating class in International Development received their INDEV graduation rings yesterday at a daytime ceremony. The rings represent the ‘fellowship’ of this program, which teaches the knowledge, business skills and innovative thinking required to bring about human development that is environmentally sustainable, culturally responsible, and scientifically sound.
