Residence Life Team
At St. Paul's, there is a team of student and full-time staff working to make sure that you have fun, connect you to resources and support, and to keep St. Paul's a safe place to live.
Dons (upper-year undergraduate students) live on the residence floors and are responsible for planning floor events and helping you out. There is one Don for every 24 students on the first-year/double room floors at St. Paul's.
The Residence and Community Life Manager, Steve Prentice, provides leadership to the Residence Life Team. He is assisted by a Community Coordinator.
We also have ACE, our Activity Council, which is led by students who are elected by their peers. They take the lead on planning lots of great events. Regular activities and events are also held just for your residence floor.

Enhancing the student experience
Volunteering and community service have always been part of the ethos of student life at St. Paul’s. Students participate in events such as:
- Annual Traditional Pow Wow
- Trick or Eat (a University of Waterloo campaign to raise funds and food for the on-campus food bank)
- Think Pink Weekend (a campus-wide event that raises money for the Breast Cancer Foundation)
- Operation Christmas Child (a St. Paul's traditional event, whereby students help with the packing and sorting of gift-filled shoe boxes destined for children in developing countries around the world, including Guatemala, Ivory Coast, Haiti and Sierra Leone)
- Blood drives
- Volunteering at a retirement home and long-term care facility
- Clothing drive
- Relay for Life (a 12-hour overnight fundraising event that brings together the colleges to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society)
- Community Clean-up (an annual event whereby students from across campus clean up and properly dispose of litter)
What's more, students become fast friends and have fun in the process!
