Faculty of Arts, Lecturer, User Experience Design/Research and Innovation, Definite term position

The Faculty of Arts is seeking a definite term lecturer for a two-year contract beginning August 1, 2017. This position will support the Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) and Master of Digital Experience Innovation (MDEI) programs at the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus in delivering user experience design/research and innovation courses to students in these programs. The individual hired for the position will serve as course coordinator ensuring consistency and excellence across the multiple sections of user experience design/research and innovation courses. Candidates must have at least a master's degree in user experience, digital design, or related field. Expertise in teaching e-portfolio development and industry experience will be considered an asset. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence as a teacher at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

The salary range for this position at the rank of Lecturer is $80,000.00 to $100,000.00. Negotiations beyond this salary range will be considered for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Faculty of Arts, Lecturer, Global Business and Business Finance, Definite term position

The Faculty of Arts is seeking a definite term lecturer for a two-year contract beginning August 1, 2017. This position will support the Bachelor of Global Business and Digital Arts (GBDA) and Master of Digital Experience Innovation (MDEI) programs at the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus in delivering global business and business finance courses to students in these programs. There is also potential for teaching within Waterloo’s Arts & Business program. The individual hired for the position will serve as course coordinator, ensuring consistency and excellence across the multiple sections of business courses. Candidates must have at least a master's degree in business or a related field, or an MBA with expertise in global business, business management and leadership, and business finance. Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD.  Expertise in teaching entrepreneurship will be considered an asset. Candidates must have demonstrated excellence as a teacher, particularly at the undergraduate level.
