Game Dev in a Day (Game DIAD): Building Games for Mental Health, Wellbeing or Fitness
Game DIAD Is a two-day hands-on workshop that takes you through one rotation in the iterative development cycle of a game and provides essential training to build a game from scratch, taking you from concept to a first prototype. This learning experience, designed for post-secondary school students from any background, discipline, faculty, or department will bring together 100 aspiring developers to the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus to learn how to design, develop, and test a digital game. Working in teams of 10, teams will participate in this learning jam and acquire the skills needed to take game ideas to a prototype.
What’s in it for you?
Participants receive custom Game DIAD gear, and food will be provided throughout the weekend so you have the energy you need to take on the challenge. A free daily shuttle is available between the Waterloo and Stratford campuses.
