Project Management Professional Certification

To continue giving our Master of Digital Experience Innovation students a superior advantage, you can now complete the education portion of the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification as part of the program.*

To achieve the PMP certification issued by the Project Management Institute, you need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • 35 hours of project management education
  • A four-year degree (bachelor's or the global equivalent) and at least three years of project management experience, with 4,500 hours leading and directing projects OR
  • A secondary diploma (high school or the global equivalent) with at least five years of project management experience, with 7,500 hours leading and directing projects

At the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus certified project managers will offer the required project management education. The Project Management modules will be taught in addition and as part of the existing curriculum. You'll also have the opportunity to practice what you learned during your team-based industry projects.
