Stratford Campus Library Services
The Stratford Campus offers UW Library circulation services. Students, staff, Faculty and Alumni can place holds and recalls on resources that are housed in the UW Libraries as well as the members of TUG (University of Guelph and Wilfrid Laurier University).
Please go to http://www.lib.uwaterloo.ca/ to reserve your library resources. When you place your hold/recall, be sure to select the Stratford Campus as your pick-up location.
You will then be notified when your resource has been received at the Stratford Campus. Once you are done, just bring it back to the Stratford Campus and we will ship it back!
Pick-up and drop-off of library books and reserves are available during regular business hours, Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
For more information, please refer to the Library Survival Guide.
On main campus you will have access to a digital media lab located in East Campus Hall (ECH) Room 1205. The lab is open Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM - 10:30 PM - see lab schedule for open availability. This lab is equipped with iMac workstations featuring Digital Design software.
You will have access to the following labs at the Stratford Campus. The labs are open during the same hours that the building is open. See the posted lab schedule for availability.
- Large media lab with 26 iMac computers with Final Cut Pro X and Adobe CS 6 Master Collection
- Small media lab with 16 iMac computers with Final Cut Pro X and Adobe CS 6 Master Collection

Photocopying and Printing
New Media Services offers a variety of printing options around campus.
The 3D Print Centre at the University of Waterloo provides low cost, high quality rapid prototyping and end use parts to students, staff and faculty, with a focus on undergraduate students and teams.
A photocopier/printer is available on the 2nd floor, room 2036 for student use. A WatCard is required to access the machine. Instructions and prices are posted in the room.
Lockers are available on each floor, and are free for you to use at any time - the University of Waterloo Stratford Campus will provide you with a lock. Note that locks must be removed at the end of the academic year.
For your convenience there are microwaves and sinks on each floor. Please clean up after use.
The University of Waterloo will "close" because of severe weather when normal operation would pose a significant danger to students, staff and faculty, or would prevent large numbers of them from coming to campus or returning safely to their homes. Such a decision will be made by the Provost in consultation with as many of the following as can be reached: the Director of Police & Parking Services, Director of Communications & Public Affairs, Director of Custodial & Grounds Services.
If the University of Waterloo main campus is closed, the Stratford Campus is closed automatically. A decision to "close a satellite campus activity" outside the K-W area is to be taken by the University of Waterloo administrator responsible for the facility, taking into account local conditions in that area, the principles articulated in this document and the need to notify those affected by the "closure."
Notice of a campus closing will be posted on the university website homepage, normally by 7:00 AM, remaining in effect until 7:00 AM, or later the next day.
Notice of MDEI class cancellations will be posted on the University of Waterloo Stratford campus homepage, normally by 12:00 PM, remaining in effect until 7:00 AM, or later the next day.
