Are you creative? Are you innovative? Are you interested in computer graphics and interactive techniques? Want to meet like-minded people?
Join us for an informational session and discover what ACMSIGGRAPH (Association for Computing Machinery Special Interest Group in Computer Graphics and Interactive Techniques) is all about...other than a long acronym with an even longer name!
Roy C. Anthony, senior product manager in Research and Innovation at Christie Digital®, and Mark Elendt, Senior Mathematician at Side Effects Software, both long-time members of and contributors to SIGGRAPH, will be on-hand to discuss the benefits associated with being a SIGGRAPH chapter member.
The speakers will also discuss their careers in the fields of computer graphics and interactive technology, providing insight to the many job options available to students after completing their degree programs.
This session will be available via Adobe Connect for those unable to attend in person.
The University of Waterloo SIGGRAPH Student Chapter (open to students, alumni, faculty, and staff of UWaterloo) meets monthly to provide members with the opportunity to participate in workshops on topics of interest in the areas of computer graphics and interactive techniques, establish working relationships with faculty in the pursuit of research, attend talks given by industry professionals, and build a vibrant and engaging SIGGRAPH network within the UWaterloo community.
