Academic readiness bursary

The new Academic Readiness Bursary provides assistance for students who are or will be registered in the fall 2020 term and who may incur costs related to studying remotely in the fall term, as a result of COVID-19. Applications must be received by September 30, 2020.

Review the undergraduate student funding and fee information web page for details about what this new bursary covers, determine if you are eligible, and how you can apply.

Complete the appropriate application form and provide a detailed written statement explaining the expenses (receipts and/or estimates required) and indicate that you are applying for the Academic Readiness Bursary.

It is expected that full-time and part-time domestic students (Undergraduate and Graduate) will have already applied for OSAP or Out-of-Province Assistance for the Fall 2020 term.

Expect a processing time of up to 15 business days (due to current volume). Decisions will be emailed to your University of Waterloo email.

• Full-Time domestic students: apply using the bursary application feature in Quest

• Part-Time students: Part-Time bursaries

• International undergraduate students: International Undergraduate bursary

• International graduate students: Graduate Student Contingency Bursary application
