These helpful sessions are completely free and run throughout the school year and exam period. Although this is not a tutoring service, the peer success coaches are here to help you manage your time and break down the tasks that you have in front of you. With multiple exams to study for, the process can undoubtedly get slightly overwhelming. Getting a new perspective and having someone help you break down the tasks at hand can be an extremely effective tool. Every individual has their own unique way of processing and learning information. Visual, auditory, verbal and kinesthetic are the four main categories most individuals fall into when it comes to their preferred learning style. Take this quiz that enables you to identify how you learn best and gain some insight on how you can customize your studying to best suit your personal style.
3. Free shoe tag classes
There are few things more effective than physical activity when it comes to de-stressing. The Athletics department here at Waterloo is offering free shoe tag classes to students from April 3-21. With a plethora of options ranging everywhere from De-Stress Yoga to a High Intensity Warrior Workout, we guarantee you will find an activity that works for you. Who knows? You may even make some new friends while you are at it!
4. Practicing mindfulness
This tip is crucial not only for success during exam times, but is an important skill to work on for a healthy and balanced life. It is essential to have the ability to listen to your body and be able to identify when you need a break. Getting an adequate amount of sleep and fuelling your body with the proper nutrition should never be underestimated when going about your daily study tasks.
