uIntuition: passion meets industry

Michal Ulman and Melissa MorganIn a time when resumes and portfolios are incredibly important, two University of Waterloo students have created a way to connect students to their preferred career industry.

Global Business and Digital Arts student Melissa Morgan and Systems Design Engineering student Michal Ulman are the co-founders of uIntuition. uIntuition is a platform that acts as a bridge for businesses to connect with talented students who can provide freelance work at a competitive price. From web design to entertainment services -- and everything in between -- uIntuition gives students the opportunity to build their resume with industry experience.

While working in the creative field as students, Melissa and Michal developed a roster of talented students capable of working at a professional level. Their idea evolved into uIntuition, where all students in their database undergo an extensive screening process to ensure that the business is providing the best students to prospective businesses.

Students have busy schedules, so uIntuition's business model provides a chance for students to work their own schedules and set their own hours. Melissa and Michal's business doesn't provide employment, but provides a platform for connecting their customers to the breadth of student talent.

Tapping into the pool of amazing student talent is what makes uIntuition a success. We recognize just how talented post-secondary students are, and our success is attributed to their passions. - Michal Ulman

As an Engineering student, Michal feels he has been taught how to think and how to solve difficult problems, which uIntuition aims to solve for its customers. The workload of his program has prepared him for meeting tight deadlines, pushing himself to his limits, and putting quality into everything he creates.
