Immigration Information Session: COVID-19 UpdatesExport this event to calendar

Thursday, February 25, 2021 — 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM EST
Thursday, April 8, 2021 — 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM EDT

With the arrival of COVID-19, Canada's immigration policies continue to adapt to the ongoing crisis. Join Waterloo's immigration consultants for an online session to learn more about how COVID-19 impacts your status in Canada.

As a temporary resident in Canada, it's important to stay up to date with current immigration policies impacted by COVID-19. Topics that will be discussed include current Canadian travel restrictions, the impacts of transitioning to part-time studies or an inactive term due to COVID-19, effects of online courses on post-graduation work permit eligibility, working in Canada, quarantine policy and more.

Please note:

  • Due to COVID-19, this will be an online session. You'll receive a Microsoft Teams meeting link approximately 20 to 30 minutes before the session begins.
  • This session is open to undergraduate and graduate international students.
  • Immigration Information Sessions are where you should start if you're planning on extending or applying for an immigration document, or you want to learn about the immigration regulations related to an immigration topic.
  • Sessions may evolve over time as COVID-19 continues to impact immigration policy.
