Join Waterloo's immigration consultants to learn about how to apply successfully for your first study permit from outside Canada as an international student.
We will discuss some of the most common reasons why study permit applications are refused and how to increase the chances of success in your own study permit application. There will also be a focus on creating a study plan (or 'statement of purpose') that can be included with your first study permit application.
PLEASE NOTE:
- This will be an online session. You will receive a Microsoft Teams meeting link via email approximately 15 to 30 minutes before the session begins.
- This session is open to undergraduate and graduate international students.
- Immigration Information Sessions are where you should start if you are planning on extending or applying for an immigration document, or you want to learn about the immigration regulations related to an immigration topic.
- All "Applying for Your First Study Permit (Study Plans)" sessions will cover the same material.
