Motivating others and building your group's diversity - Wednesday October 5 Export this event to calendar

Wednesday, October 5, 2016 — 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT

How does the power of diversity create better groups/teams? How are diversity and motivation linked? The purpose of this workshop is to explore these questions. What are the necessary elements to create and sustain a motivating environment? What are some characteristics and/or actions that define people who are motivating? Does motivation come from within you or does motivation come from the group environment that is created?

By the end of this workshop, you will have the ability to:

  • Understand how to apply the SMART tool when setting a goal
  • Identify and describe the factors that influence motivation
  • Recognize different strategies that you can use to motivate yourself and others, especially in a de-motivating environment
