Friday, November 4, 2016 — 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM EDT

What does 'global citizen' mean to you? This workshop will explore thinking globally and appreciating cultural diversity - factors important for future leaders and their ability to adapt to the ever-changing and challenging work/team environment. In addition, you can expect to set goals and connect to resources available at UW to discover more opportunities to enhance your global intelligence.

By the end of this workshop, you will have the ability to:

  • Understand the importance and benefits of cross-cultural knowledge
  • Recognize the five qualities of future global leaders, and demonstrate those in your own leadership role
  • Understand that gestures differ across cultures, and apply this knowledge when communicating with others
