Study Strategies in ScienceExport this event to calendar

Thursday, January 18, 2018 — 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM EST

Have you ever written a test or exam and then were surprised or disappointed by the mark you had received? Do you try to memorize course material but not actually ‘learn’ it or remember it later? In Faculty of Science courses, it can be challenging to learn mass amounts of information and learn the material at a higher level of learning (that is being tested)! In this workshop, we will discuss how your memory works, why we forget and tips to improve effective studying strategies for your science courses. We will also introduce you to Bloom's Taxonomy of Learning to help you prepare for different types of test questions by studying smarter, not harder!

This is a customized workshop for Faculty of Science students.
