We know many first-year international students missed out on International Orientation due to student visa delays, flight cancellations, and more. So we're extending your official welcome to campus all September long!

Late Arrival Welcome is your opportunity to meet new people, learn about the local and campus community and provide a redo of other key International Orientation activities you might have missed.

Breakfast seminar: Adapting to the Canadian Classroom

Get caught up by learning strategies to support you in adapting to the Canadian Classroom and tips for academic success

Time: 9:30 - 11:00 a.m.

Location: CMH Great Hall

Campus and community tours

Take a walking tour of the campus where you will learn about the University of Waterloo Campus. We will even walk through a few of the underground tunnels! A campus tour will be followed by a City of Waterloo tour where you will learn to take the ION to Conestoga Mall.

Location: Departing from South Campus Hall, first floor

SIN information session

Join a representative from Service Canada to learn more about your Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN). Learn what a SIN is, why it is needed and how to protect yourself from fraud.

Date: Thursday, September 22, 2022

Time: 10:00am – 10:45 a.m.

Location: Virtual event on Microsoft Teams. You will receive a  meeting link via email approximately 15 to 30 minutes before the session begins.

International Peer Community (IPC) Bonfire

Meet new people, build community and participate in a favourite Canadian fall past time. This event is open to all international students, even if you aren't an official member of IPC.
