Late Arrival Welcome is your opportunity to meet new people, learn about the local and campus community and provide a redo of other key International Orientation activities you might have missed.
Get caught up by learning strategies to support you in adapting to the Canadian Classroom and tips for academic success.

Location: CMH Great Hall
Take a walking tour of the campus where you will learn about the University of Waterloo Campus. We will even walk through a few of the underground tunnels! A campus tour will be followed by a City of Waterloo tour where you will learn to take the ION to Conestoga Mall.

Location: Departing from South Campus Hall, first floor
Join a representative from Service Canada to learn more about your Canadian Social Insurance Number (SIN). Learn what a SIN is, why it is needed and how to protect yourself from fraud.

Time: 10:00am – 10:45 a.m.
Location: Virtual event on Microsoft Teams. You will receive a meeting link via email approximately 15 to 30 minutes before the session begins.
Meet new people, build community and participate in a favourite Canadian fall past time. This event is open to all international students, even if you aren't an official member of IPC.

The International Peer Community is a peer-support program aimed at helping international students settle in and feel at home at the University of Waterloo. Through community based activities, the program helps students to build a support network, develop a sense of community and intercultural competencies, enhance interactional skills, and learn about Canada and other cultures.
