Join the Dear First Year You conversation and get some helpful tips and advice from other students who have been there and done that; whether it's tips on getting involved, looking for a summer job and off-campus housing, or studying for exams.

The series of live chat sessions, run by the Student Success Office, take place every other Tuesday at 4:45pm for the winter 2013 term. You can log in to listen live and submit questions to be answered by upper-year students and campus experts. The sessions are also recorded so if you can’t watch live you can always catch it later.

Brenley Devlin, Coordinator, First Year Experience (Transition) hopes that these sessions “will help students in their continued transition throughout their first year here at Waterloo". The Dear First Year You online live chat series is “a great option for many students who may be looking for help, but are sometimes hesitant to go out to a workshop or event and may be more willing to watch something online,” says Devlin.
