Welcoming the Student Leadership Program

Tuesday, January 27, 2015

The Student Success Office is excited to welcome the Student Leadership Program (SLP) as part of its program offerings. Initiated by Organizational and Human Development, this certificate program offers a series of free leadership workshops to current Waterloo students.

Leadership within the SLP is defined as "knowing yourself; understanding others and initiating action". Certified student and staff facilitators offer broad based experiential workshops (personal assessments, group activities, reflection activities and goal setting opportunities) to explore and enhance Waterloo’s student’s leadership capabilities. Through a series of 12 workshops, students will gain knowledge and develop skills to be in a leadership role on campus and within the community, meeting fellow leaders and broadening their campus connections.
