With everything on campus winding down in preparation for the holidays, here’s a list of important dates and hours to keep you on track:

Important dates and information

  • The final exam period runs from December 6-20 (check your exam schedule)
  • Unofficial grades will begin to show up on Quest on December 21
  • Residences close December 22 – if you need somewhere to stay, short-term accommodation is available

Library hours

  • Dana Porter Library will be open from 8am-2am Monday to Friday, and 11am-11pm Saturdays and Sundays until December 20
  • The Davis Centre library is open 24 hrs Monday to Friday, 11am-12pm on Saturdays, and 8am-2am on Sundays until December 20

Physical Activities Complex (PAC) and Columbia Icefield (CIF) hours

  • The PAC will maintain its regular weight room hours over the exam period
  • CIF will be open from 8am-10:30pm Monday to Friday, and 9am-5:30pm Saturdays and Sundays until December 20.
  • Both the PAC and CIF will be closed from December 21 to January 1

Food Services hours 

If you’re staying in Waterloo over the break, don’t forget about Winterloo, a schedule of holiday events and activities. Meet other students who will be staying around town, try rock climbing, enjoy the Wonders of Winter at Waterloo Park, attend a New Year’s Eve Party at Kitchener Civic Square, and much more.

Residences will re-open after New Year’s on January 5 and lectures begin again for the winter term on January 7.
