        Spring 2020 term begins

        Lectures and classes at Waterloo begin on Monday, May 11 (revised from May 4 due to COVID-19). The co-op work term also begins on May 11, though actual start dates may vary depending on employer or student requirements.

        All campus offices are closed.

        Waterloo Residence placement confirmation date

        Students who applied to live in a campus residence can check their email on Thursday, June 11 to find out which residence community (Waterloo Residences or the University Colleges) they have been placed in. If they are placed in Waterloo Residences, they will receive a confirmation from Waterloo Residences with next steps.

        Waterloo Residence Preference Form due

        The Waterloo Residence Preference Form allows students to indicate their preferences for building, room type, meal plan and roommate request.

        Students must become Fees Arranged for the fall 2020 term.

        First day of fall term classes

        Lectures and classes at Waterloo begin on Tuesday, September 8.

        Co-op interviews begin

        Daily interviews begin in the first interview cycle for students who will be on a work term in winter 2021.

        Canadian Thanksgiving and Fall Reading Week

        Campus is closed on October 12 for Thanksgiving Day. There are no classes October 13-16, but campus is open.

        First cycle co-op match results

        First cycle interview match results will be posted by end of day on WaterlooWorks. Students can continue to interview for co-op jops in continuous round if they are not matched with an employer at this time.

        December 7 is the last day of fall term classes. Check the Registrar's Important Dates for exam dates.

        Winter Welcome Week

        Beginning on Monday, January 11, students are invited to participate in a week of free events and activities on campus hosted by the Waterloo Undergraduate Student Association.

        Campus is closed on February 15 for Family Day. There are no classes February 16-19, but campus is open.

        Tuition tax receipts available

        If your student is looking to get started on taxes, their official T2202A Tuition, Education and Textbook Amount Certificate will be available on Quest by the end of February.
