Contact Blessing: (Blessing Medon)
Blessing Medon is a PhD candidate in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Waterloo. She is passionate about water, especially the distribution of safe water to developing and deprived communities. Her research focuses on developing passive sampling techniques to model the bioavailability of persistent micro contaminants in water. She is a proponent for the strategic use of education to spur practical solutions to inequities such as the lack of safe water and sanitation in developing countries.
Blessing's commitment to making meaningful contributions to how water challenges are addressed was her motivation for joining SWIGS. As chair of operations she has the opportunity to support every executive role on the SWIGS committee. She also connects with the wider SWIGS community through the SWIGS newsletter and highlights all the great things SWIGS is up to.
