In co-operation with the Students of the Water Institute Graduate Section (SWIGS), an instrumentation group has been formed on Facebook for users of chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments (named the 'UW LC/IC/GC-MS Users' group). This is an excellent resource for users of these instruments that want to ask other students about their troubles or offer advice to less experienced students.
If there is enough interest this group discussion may lead to an academic workshop offered by SWIGS, where an instrument can be demonstrated and a tutorial given on its use.
