There are many ways to contribute your energy and talent to SWIGS. Within SWIGS itself, we have many opportunities such as:

  • Participating at any of our events;
  • Serving on our executive committee or a World Water Day sub-committee member;
  • Contributing material to our blog.

Additionally, Kitchener-Waterloo has a number of organizations focused on science, technology, and water issues outreach and education. SWIGS has the benefit of bringing together researchers and graduate students from an enormous variety of disciplines and backgrounds. We feel that it’s our responsibility as water researchers to reach out to the public to entertain, inform, and ultimately bring water issues into the public eye.
