
Building on two successful Fields Mathematics for Climate Change (MfCC) workshops held last year, The Fields Institute is partnering with the Waterloo Institute for Complexity and Innovation (WICI) to organize a 4-day workshop titled “Math for complex climate challenges” at the University of Waterloo from May 1 - 4th, 2023.

In honour of Earth Month, we invite you to join us for our annual campus clean-up! We will provide you with bags, gloves, and litter pickers. There are a number of litter "hot spots" on and around main campus that we'll tackle in smaller groups.

SDG Week Canada is happening from March 6-10, 2023, led by SDSN Canada at the University of Waterloo, the Sustainability Hub at UBC, and Colleges and Institutes Canada. Campuses across the country are leading programming and communications to raise awareness about the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), spark conversations about opportunities for collaboration within and across campus borders, and accelerate progress on the SDGs in post-secondary institutions.

Are you interested in creating opportunities for students to learn about sustainability in your course? Join CTE staff and fellow instructors to brainstorm ideas and create a plan to incorporate sustainability into one of your own assessments.

4RepairKW is hosting a free repair workshop for the campus community. A band of repairers will be available to fix electrical items, sew or mend clothes, and sharpen knives and scissors, among other things!

Learn how you can get experience and recognition as a leader in sustainability while completing your post-secondary program!
Join WWF-Canada for a virtual workshop about the Living Leader Planet certification. Students will have the opportunity to learn more about the certification, its benefits, and hear from a panel of students who have completed the certification and where they are now.

Do you have personal items in need of repair? 4RepairKW is hosting weekly drop-in sessions this winter term on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays from 4-6 pm.
